Carrot Pudding

Recipe is from Uncle Ray & Aunt Grace.

1 cup grated carrots
1 cup grated potatoes
1 cup sugar
1 cup raisins
1 tsp soda
½ cup melted butter
1 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 cup nuts (optional)

Sauce:
1 cup sugar
1 TB flour
1 TB butter
½ tsp salt
1 cup hot water
¾ tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients together, put in can and steam for four hours. Serve with sauce.

For sauce: mix sugar, flour, salt, hot water; stir well, cook 3 minutes. Add butter and vanilla.
