Recipe is from Phyllis Smith
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 cup cooked raisins
8 TB water (use water the raisins were cooked in)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
½ cup nuts
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
